CNDP Press Meeting

Coalition for Nuclear Disarmament and Peace (CNDP) will have its National Coordination Committee meeting on 20th and 21st as a part of the broader gamut of the ViBGYOR festival.


The CNDP had been brought to being 10 years back through a national convention in Delhi in November 1989 in response to India going openly nuclear two and a half year back with participation from all the corners of the country and also large representation from the sub-continent and the wider world.

Gramsci was one of the most brilliant minds who pointed out that all structures created to run an organized society are intrinsically oppressive. He went to the extent of suggesting that the structures created by resistance movements, once organized also tend to be oppressive. By this formulation, one could arrive at a conclusion that creating resistance movements and continuously transforming them is the responsibility of those who take up the plunge to shape these movements.
